Job description

The Agency Manager Trainee position is a structured development role designed for motivated professionals who want to build a career in insurance sales and leadership. This role combines hands-on sales experience with management training, preparing you to eventually lead and grow an insurance agency or step into a senior leadership role.

You'll learn how to sell insurance, manage client relationships, grow a book of business, and develop the skills needed to recruit, train, and lead a team.

Career Path:

This role is designed as a stepping stone into leadership. Successful Agency Manager Trainees may advance into roles such as Agency Manager, Senior Advisor, or Agent, based on performance and business readiness.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Requirements

  • Sales, customer service, or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong interest in building a career in the insurance industry is required
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in leadership or business ownership

  • Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Insurance license (P&C and/or Life & Health) preferred or willingness to obtain quickly

Responsibilities

  • Learn the fundamentals of insurance sales by working directly with clients and prospects
  • Build, manage, and grow a personal book of business year over year
  • Conduct client needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
  • Generate new business through referrals, networking, and lead follow-up
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals while progressing through the training program
  • Learn agency operations including marketing, client retention, and compliance
  • Develop leadership skills through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on experience
  • Participate in structured training, performance reviews, and career development planning
