Legal Action Coordinator / Attorney Liaison

We are currently seeking a polished, assertive professional to fill a full-time Legal Action Coordinator / Attorney Liaison position in our Salt Lake office.
Position Summary:
As a Legal Action Coordinator / Attorney Liaison, you will be responsible for reviewing all accounts prior to referral to our attorney for litigation, as well as providing daily follow-up on accounts currently in the legal process. This role serves as the primary point of contact between our office and our legal partners, ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, and efficient case progression.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Review accounts for legal eligibility and completeness prior to attorney referral
  • Coordinate the submission of accounts to attorneys for lawsuit filing
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and retained attorneys
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys regarding case status, documentation, and requirements
  • Track and follow up on all legal accounts to ensure timely progression through the legal process
  • Coordinate with process servers and constables to ensure proper service of legal documents
  • Conduct verification of assets in preparation for legal action.
  • Perform asset searches to identify potential sources for recovery, including employment, bank accounts, and property
  • Review and monitor incoming payments on legal accounts for accuracy and proper application
  • Perform balance reconciliations, including principal, interest, fees, and court costs
  • Audit and track legal costs and expenses to ensure accurate reporting and recovery
  • Maintain and analyze status and inventory reports related to legal accounts
  • Identify discrepancies and work with attorneys or internal teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legal actions, financial activity, and communications
  • Assist in resolving issues or delays related to legal filings or court processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements
Qualifications

Education/Experience.

Minimum paralegal degree, or two years of real-world experience working as a legal assistant or legal clerk.
Pay and Benefits

  • Pay for this position starts at $22.00/hour, with a maximum of $27.00/hour
  • Eligible for a $2.00/hour raise six months from start date and every six months thereafter until you reach the current maximum pay rate.
