Job description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.


  • Responsible for all aspects of the work and authority to the tasking, work, products, schedules, budgets and specific courses of action.
  • Provide overall program management oversight to execute this task order; manage all tasks across all areas of technical performance, schedule, quality and cost.
  • Assemble monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare and track spend plans.
  • Interact with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Ensure traceable summarization of subcontractor data supporting the prime.
  • Provide direct program office support and be prepared to provide a rapid response capability to address emergent issues, staff special problem resolution teams and recommend courses of action.

  • Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 15 years’ experience in program/project management.
  • Experience managing US Navy submarine combat systems related programs.
  • Experience in the overall planning, direction and execution of major ship/submarine maintenance programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, budgeting process, and financial tracking (Earned Value Management (EVM) and other metrics), funding execution, and the contracting process

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
