Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A. is a growing and well-respected law firm comprised of diverse attorneys and legal staff with extensive insurance defense litigation and transactional experience. We are committed to excellence and fostering an environment that supports professional as well as personal development.
The Miami office of Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A. is currently seeking enthusiastic Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegals to support the firm’s litigation function.
Qualifications/Competencies

  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient use of technology and automation resources, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior insurance defense and/or personal/bodily injury litigation experience
  • American Bar Association-approved Paralegal Certificate a plus
Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with discovery requests and responses; conduct document searches; collect applicable records via authorization/subpoena; organize documents and coordinate document productions, including bates-stamping, redaction, production logs, and e-discovery
  • Manage calendaring and tracking of case deadlines throughout the life of a case
  • Prepare litigation status reports and other project updates
  • Prepare materials for oral arguments, depositions, mediation, and other litigation proceedings
  • Prepare for trials, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, and other supporting documents; and coordinating trial logistics
  • Conduct legal research
  • File and retrieve documents on federal court database
  • Review, analyze and summarize client and plaintiff-submitted documents
