Job Title: Insurance Defense Paralegal

Location: Dallas, Texas

Salary/Payrate: $85-95K annually, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal to join their Dallas office. The Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with the day to day management of cases. 

Candidates must have the following experience

  • Over 5 years of specialized experience in defense litigation, with a focus on personal injury, product and premises liability, and trucking/catastrophic injury cases. Demonstrated expertise in managing and tracking billable time entries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong analytical thinker with a proactive mindset and a proven ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, excelling in high-pressure environments and collaborative team settings.

Core Responsibilities

  • Document Management and Client Collaboration: Prepare and organize documents for production, including engaging with clients to review discovery responses and collect necessary documentation.
  • Legal and Corporate Research: Conduct thorough legal research, entity research, and manage corporate filings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Drafting Discovery and Legal Pleadings: Create and review discovery requests, responses, and objections, along with drafting basic pleadings and motions for submission.
  • Trial Preparation and Support: Provide comprehensive trial support, including preparing pretrial documents, managing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and attending trials.
  • Medical and Billing Records Analysis: Analyze medical and billing records to develop detailed medical chronologies and summaries of damages.
  • Expert Witness Coordination: Collaborate with experts by facilitating their retention and identifying key documents for their analysis and reporting.
  • Client and Carrier Communication: Act as a key point of contact for clients and carriers, assisting attorneys with regular case updates and detailed reporting.
  • Deposition and Discovery Review: Review and summarize depositions and discovery materials, including document production, to prepare clear and concise memos and summaries.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience with a preferred background in complex/multi district matters.
