The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and industry-respected leader to serve as Lead, Life Insurance Best Practice Programs. In this highly visible role, you will shape the vision, strategy, and execution of data standards that span the full life insurance product lifecycle-from product design and underwriting through distribution and servicing.
This role is ideal for someone with deep life insurance operational expertise who enjoys building consensus, influencing industry direction, and translating market needs into practical, adoptable standards that improve efficiency and connectivity across the ecosystem.
What You'll Do
  • Define and lead the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for life insurance data standards
  • Build consensus among carriers, distributors, technology providers, and other industry stakeholders
  • Establish, organize, and lead industry committees and workgroups to develop and maintain standards
  • Serve as a thought leader and industry advocate through presentations, forums, and executive engagement
  • Translate market and operational needs into clear requirements for standards, tools, and supporting solutions
  • Partner with internal designers, developers, and subject matter experts to deliver industry-aligned solutions
  • Oversee standards adoption across product development, underwriting, distribution, and in-force servicing
  • Manage program performance, including P&L, membership growth, and revenue objectives
  • Develop marketing and sales enablement content to support awareness and adoption

What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in insurance operations, digital transformation, e-commerce, or fintech
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance distribution models and the independent distribution ecosystem
  • Hands-on experience with data exchange across multiple constituents in the life insurance value chain
  • Familiarity with commonly used insurance platforms, software solutions, and Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to build alignment and consensus among diverse, senior-level stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills, including C-suite engagement
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with annuities and/or group benefits is a strong plus
