Operations Manager – Direct Multi-Site Field Logistics and Commercial Demolition Crews


Job Overview

Job Description  

The operations manager is responsible for scheduling multiple crews to their assigned jobsites as well as the needed dumpsters and rental equipment.  This includes scheduling the dumpster to be picked up and returned by the third party provider.  Rented equipment also needs to be scheduled for pick up when no longer needed.  Secondly, this position is charged with providing continuous oversight of the company workforce for each individual project.  Oversight includes frequent communication with our team leaders as to the progress of the job and any issues encountered.  Finally, the operations manager should maintain contact with the general contractor’s foreman for the duration of the job to ensure that the customer’s expectations are being met.  The ops manager should also resolve disputes amicably and foster a good working relationship with general contractors personnel.   


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Coordinate the daily scheduling and strategic dispatching of multiple crews across diverse geographic project sites.
  • Organize and track the allocation of heavy machinery, specialized tools, and essential jobsite equipment.
  • Manage external waste logistics by systematically provisioning dumpsters for efficient site trash removal.
  • Resolve real-time logistical obstacles and personnel challenges directly on the jobsite as they occur.
  • Maintain productive, professional working relationships with general contractors and client representatives.
  • Utilize advanced computer systems to optimize workforce tracking and maintain master operational schedules.
  • Monitor field operations progress to ensure corporate quality standards and project deadlines are achieved.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven background in managing multiple decentralized construction or demolition field crews simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with explicit experience using scheduling software and office applications.
  • Direct experience resolving complex, unexpected problems on active jobsites involving clients and labor teams.
  • Absolute willingness to travel up to 30% of working hours to various regional project sites.
  • Experienced leader capable of operating independently within a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 6 years of related work experience specifically within commercial or industrial general construction management.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent educational background.
  • Prior experience coordinating third-party vendor logistics including industrial waste removal and heavy equipment rentals.
