The Maintenance Operations Manager leads the daily maintenance function for equipment, facilities, and building systems in a fast-growing business. This role is responsible for improving uptime, ensuring safe and compliant operations, managing maintenance staff and vendors, and leading an aggressive capital expenditure plan that expands capacity, strengthens infrastructure, and supports rapid growth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Reliability
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Plan, schedule, and oversee repairs, installations, inspections, and routine maintenance activities
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and lead corrective actions to minimize disruption to operations
Technical Operations & Facilities Support
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility-related issues and provide technical direction
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies to support efficient maintenance operations
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead, coach, and supervise maintenance technicians and support staff to ensure safe, high-quality work
- Coordinate external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work and service agreements
Capital Planning & Growth Support
- Own the maintenance and capital budget, prioritize investment opportunities, and deliver projects that improve reliability, throughput, and operational capacity
- Execute an aggressive CAPEX roadmap, including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and infrastructure improvements required to support a rapidly scaling operation
Safety, Compliance & Performance Reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards, policies, and regulations
- Track maintenance KPIs, maintain accurate service records, and provide reports to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, or operations management
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Experience successfully leading maintenance teams, managing priorities, and coordinating cross-functional work
- Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and maintenance planning processes
- Demonstrated experience building and managing CAPEX plans, leading equipment or facility expansion projects, and supporting growth in a fast-paced operating environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, regulatory compliance, and preventive maintenance programs
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $113,000 to $129,000 and represents the base pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
