Position Information:

The Elementary Office Manager coordinates the secretarial/clerical operations of the school office and provides office support to administrators, staff, parents, students, and community members. The position promotes positive public relations for the Edmonds School District and serves as the primary point-of-contact for the building.
Shift Details: 8 hours a day; 220 day calendar
Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours, work locations, and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
FLSA Status:  Non-exempt
Hourly Rate: $40.27 (hourly) (2025-2026 Office Personnel Salary Schedule) [Effective Sept. 1, 2026: $42.12 Hourly Rate] 
Position Type/Level: Office Personnel Level F

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.  

and, one of the following:

  • Hold a post-secondary or advanced degree; or
  • Earned a minimum of ten (10) relevant college credits; or
  • Have three (3) years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more (3+) years of progressively responsible secretarial/clerical experience preferred.
  • Prior payroll and budgeting experience preferred.
  • Bilingual/Multilingual preferred (ability to speak and write fluently in both English and another language).
  • Work experience in a public school and/or education system.
  • Experience with applications/databases, such as Skyward, Qmlativ, etc.

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year. 


Eligibility for a state retirement plan through the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) is determined upon hire and is based on a variety of factors.
