Position Overview
World Insurance Associates is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a minimum of three years of professional experience to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives across the firm, including sales, carrier relations and field operations through execution of various projects and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be highly proficient with data, and demonstrate the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cross-Functional Support: Partner with Carrier Relations, Sales, and Field Operations to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-backed solutions.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets to arm leadership with the facts needed for strategic planning and process optimization.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards, scorecards, and ad-hoc reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, conversion rates, and carrier performance.
  • Sales & Field Operations Optimization: Track sales performance, identify market trends, and analyze field activity to improve overall productivity and revenue growth.
  • Carrier Relations Analytics: Analyze carrier data to support negotiations, monitor service levels, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate current business workflows, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with IT and management to implement streamlined procedures.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), EPIC, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas).
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous background in Insurance is highly beneficial.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to perform trend analysis, predictive modeling, and root-cause analysis to solve complex business problems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and push back when necessary based on data-driven insights.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.

Compensation
This position is located in Chicago, Illinois. The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $70,000 to $80,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
