Job description

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS), the world's largest independent insurance company manager, is growing and seeking an accounting professional to join our US East Captive Management servicing team. This a remote role but candidate must be based in Orlando, Florida.
As our Accountant (Account Manager I), you will support the financial and regulatory operations of a portfolio of captive insurance companies.Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Accurate and timely preparation of monthly or quarterly journal entries and financial statements.
  • Prepare and file regulatory reports required by domicile regulators.
  • Maintain permanent file documentation.
  • Develop knowledge of captive corporate governance and assist with Board Meeting materials.
  • Assist in preparation of statutory accounting statements and NAIC filings.
  • Prepare and file premium and excise tax returns.
  • Review reconciliation and disbursement activities performed by Assistant Account Managers.
  • Support client, provider, and regulator communications.
  • Manage client audits and regulatory examinations.
Attributes and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • 2+ years financial accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance accounting.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel; SharePoint knowledge.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
