JOB TITLE:ย Instrumentation Engineer
LOCATION: Stratford, CT
PAY RATE: $20-68/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary:ย 

  • Perform strain gage installations on metal and composite aircraft components.

  • Complete surface preparation, layout, alignment, bonding, and measurement.

  • Perform Wheatstone Bridge wiring to measure:

    • Torque

    • Axial Load

    • Bending

    • Shear strain

  • Support instrumentation wiring, measurement systems, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent of High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of engineering college or technical school.

  • 5+ years of strain gage installation experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Wheatstone Bridge wiring methodology.

  • Experience with instrumentation systems, strain gage bonding, and measurement systems.

  • Ability to work with metal and composite materials.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Micro-Measurements techniques and procedures.

  • Aerospace or flight/ground test experience preferred.
