Job description

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for a German Language Teacher to provide customized lessons to our clients online.

Job Information:

Ref 182988/9: 2 online German classes for kids (aged 6 and 8): Native German teacher required:  need a teacher who is familiar with German School system and curriculum.

  • Availability: Tuesday and Thursday between 4pm and 8pm 
  • Preferred start date: ASAP 
  • Lesson Frequency: 1 x per week 
  • Lesson Duration: 45 minutes per each student
  • Student’s Current location/time zone: Atlanta, GA, USA
  • Preferred platform: Teams
  • Current target language level: Intermediate 
  • Native and other spoken languages: Native: German; Other: English 
  • Student’s language needs and goals: "In 2022, we moved to China. In August 2024 we moved to Atlanta/USA. As we are expats, we have to go back to Germany in some years. We have to make sure that their German level is good enough to follow the German curriculum, when we move back." The children need to focus on grammar and learn reading and writing, too.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
  • Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency levels and desired outcomes
  • Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
  • Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

  • Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
  • Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience
