Salary: $22.50/hr
Express Employment is looking for a Pump Installer Trainee.
This is an entry level positions with 1-2 years of current mechanical experience. Someone with automotive or agriculture mechanical background would transition well into this position. Majority of the work will be performed outside so the ideal applicant would be someone who is willing to work in the cold and heat temperatures.
This position is temp to hire after 90 days. Starting pay of $22.50/hr.

Work Hours: Monday - Thursday, 10 Hours / Day + Overtime
Location: Chico, Ca and traveling is required.
Job Description:
  • Assists with inspection, installation, and operation of pumping systems for Municipalities, Industrial, and Commercial Accounts
  • Removes and Installs Vertical Deep Well Turbine Pumps using hand tools, power tools, hydraulic cranes, and rigging
  • Pump Installer Helper is part of a two to four person crew working in a safe and productive manner
  • Represents the Company in a neat and professional manner
  • Communicates effectively with customers and field personnel
  • Understands and carries out instructions from supervisors, and works unsupervised in a machine and fabrication shop
  • Sits in vehicles for long hours to and from job sites
  • Drives and operates company vehicles in a safe manner obeying all traffic laws
  • Works mostly outdoors, sometimes inclement weather

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Mechanic background
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Physically fit
  • Pass pre-employment drug test, physical, and back ground check
  • Valid Driver's License as this role requires the candidate to drive the company vehicle and a Clean DMV Record
  • Self-Starter, able to work alone and complete tasks unsupervised
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools, meters
  • Basic ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Available for out of town work, overnight stays, 1 - 4 nights a week
  • Be able to work Fridays, Saturdays when needed
