The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing the Inside Sales Representative team to achieve sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence for the Elevator & Escalator Business Unit. This role ensures the team delivers a superior customer experience, manages the quote-to-order process efficiently, and supports the business's profitability and strategic goals. The Inside Sales Manager collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Credit, and other cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Inside Sales Representative team, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Oversee the management of customer quotes, orders, and backlog to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure proactive follow-up on leads, outstanding quotes, and customer inquiries.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools and systems (e.g., Myprysmian.com, online marketplace) to enhance customer experience and team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to identify threats, opportunities, and develop strategies for customer retention and growth.
  • Monitor and manage team workload, prioritizing urgent customer needs and balancing resources.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing, credit, and return policies.
  • Analyze sales data and generate reports to provide insights on backlog, order status, and team performance.
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes, reduce errors, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Represent the Inside Sales team in cross-functional meetings and projects.
  • Support the professional development of team members through training and skill-building.

Key Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in sales management or customer service leadership required.
  • 3+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or related field; prior management experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CRM/ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
