POSITION TITLE: INSIDE SALES โ€“ ENTRY LEVEL (LEVEL I)
Inside Sales โ€“ Entry Level (Level I) is responsible for receiving and system entry of orders and requests for quotes from smaller and less complex customers, including handling of cash window customers. In general, this role will handle customer relationships with annual sales up to $50,000, COD customers and call-in orders from non-account customers.
POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Enter quote/order into Metalware for material sales and โ€œbasicโ€ processing
  • Service cash window and will-call customers
  • Establish relationships with customers by providing courteous and conscientious service
  • Turn around requests for quotations to customers in a timely manner
  • Interact with warehouse personnel to track order progress
  • Maintain contact with customers regarding order status per customer request
  • Verify and file customer purchase orders
  • Entry of stock transfer requests into Metalware
  • Communication with other divisions for inter-division processing of customer orders

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to proofread work
  • Knowledge of business math
  • Ability to use computer, telephone, and calculator
  • High school diploma and/or equivalent experience
REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  • Safety glasses
  • Steel-toe safety shoes
  • Hard hat

OTHER RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work shifts mandated by management
  • Ability to pass drug test
