Machine Operator-Night Shifts open.

LaVergne, TN

As a Mail Inserter / Machine Operator / Production Worker, you come to work armed with energy, wit, and the willingness to pitch in with the team. Most of your time is spent setting up and operating our mail inserter machine in accordance with each order's specifications. Throughout your shift, you verify order information on audit sheets, complete maintenance logs, and report inserter downtime as required.

You are highly motivated to meet or exceed our production and quality standards, schedules, and deadlines. You enjoy working with your hands and identifying mechanical problems when they occur, troubleshooting to keep production progressing to achieve service levels. Always up for a challenge, you perform moderately complex product change-over activities. As a team player, you also assist with handwork and reprints when needed. At the end of your shift, you are filled with a sense of satisfaction for a job well done!

Requirements:
  • Operate mail inserter machines (BlueCrest/Pitney Bowes experience preferred but not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to safety requirements
  • Verify order information on audit sheets
  • Set up mail inserter in accordance with specifications
  • Meet production and quality standards, schedules, and deadlines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Knowledge in basic math, fractions, and percentages
  • Confident with computers and technology
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Perform moderately complex product change-over activities
  • Complete maintenance logs and report inserter downtime as required
  • Maintain cleanliness
  • Additional tasks could include handwork and reprints

Physical Requirements

  • Able to frequently lift 10-20 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for extended periods (8-12 hours, depending on shift)
  • Able to bend, push, and pull carts.
