Job description

Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform setup and complete production schedules by following directions on the press brake programs.
  • Operate press brake to add bends, pem insertion machines to add pem fasteners to sheetmetal parts, mask and/or unmask sheetmetal parts.
  • Operate the punch machines.
  • Follow instructions assigned by the supervisor, engineers & managers.
  • Accurately report production information to supervisors and managers.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Troubleshoot defective processes.
  1. Support ISO Quality System, Quality Policy and Continuous Improvement efforts.
  2. Safety hazard identification and elimination.
  3. Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  4. Other duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work in a fast paced production environment with multiple product changes during the shift.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to use calipers and other measuring instruments
  • Ability to read blue prints.
  • Ability to perform job function while standing for an entire shift, including overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to operator a forklift.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more year's of sheetmetal fabrication experience preferred.
  • CNC operation experience a plus
