Job description

Inserso is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team to provide mission-critical test support on the USAF logistics systems (depot maintenance/supply) in a Program Management Office (PMO) environment. Candidate will be a member of a strong team consisting of Government personnel and contractor personnel of Subject Matter Experts (SME). The Test Engineer will also assist the SME Team in providing functional knowledge of the systems to ensure accurate implementation of USAF logistics systems (depot maintenance/supply) requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases based on specifications from the development team.
  • Execute various types of testing such as system, regression, load, and acceptance testing.
  • Identify, analyze, and document software defects.
  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues.
  • Generate reports on test results and provide feedback to project teams.
  • Monitor the performance of the system to ensure that it meets the user’s requirements.
  • Ensure that the final product can be used in its operational environment effectively.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Update test scripts based on bugs and changes/upgrades in the system.
  • Maintain and upgrade test environments as needed.
  • Help coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide functional knowledge for USAF logistics systems (depot maintenance/supply) implementation of system requirements.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Holds a current T3 investigation or have the ability to pass a corresponding investigation,
  • 2 years of experience with automated/manual application testing test result reporting, test scripting, and other test techniques.
  • 3 years of functional or technical experience with USAF logistics systems (depot maintenance/supply) or comparable logistics systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Customers as well as other delivery teams involved in the problem resolution process.
  • Ability to drive results in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a high stress and changing environment.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Working knowledge of Zephyr, JIRA, Jenkins, or GitHub.
  • Agile trained and/or certified.
  • Experience with Business and Enterprise System (BES) Directorate’s lifecycle management process in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of one or more USAF Depot Maintenance Accounting Production System (DMAPS) components such as the Integration Engine (IE), Time and Attendance (TAA), Defense Industrial Fund Management System (DIFMS), Automated Bill of Materials (ABOM), or Naval Air Systems Command Industrial Material Management System (NIMMS).
  • Working experience with Depot Maintenance Activity Group (DMAG).

  • Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and specialists.
  • Work independently to accomplish tasks and lead small teams if required.
