Job description

AMECO is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Account/Project Support Specialist. As an Account/Project Support Specialist, you will work directly with customers, Operations, Purchasing, Account Managers to ensure a customer-centric and profitable repeat business for AMECO. As a liaison between the Customer and Departments within AMECO, you will ensure the customer’s needs are being met while still maintaining healthy margins. This position will always be looking for process improvements and value adds. The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable multi-tasking, computer oriented, organized, detail oriented with exceptional customer service skills. Our customer base includes construction businesses, contractors, scaffolding, industrial, electrical power welding & rigging industries to name a few.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotes and enter customer orders coming directly from the customer or Account Managers daily.
  • Make sales and customer service follow-up calls to customers.
  • Assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement and increased profitability inside our operation.
  • Facilitate customer feedback to assess our strengths and identify areas for improvements in our operation.
  • Collaborate and grow relationships with our customers ensuring reliability and accountability.
  • Managing and utilizing opportunities to lower overall costs and increase revenue.
  • Work directly with the customer and Account Manager on pricing, inventory, and reporting needs for the job.
  • Adhere to and support AMECO’s Health, Safety and Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply core skills to the job.
  • May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity.

• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.

Requirements:

  • Accredited two (2) years technical or business degree, preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales, account management or customer service-related work experience.
  • Ability to communicate with business etiquette verbally or electronically to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Intermediate Excel skills is a must.
  • Industrial/Construction tooling knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong Multitasking, and Problem-Solving skills in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • SAP experience would be a definite plus, particularly SAP Business One.
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Essential to juggle multiple time-sensitive priorities, while delivering quality support to customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment.
