The Production Specialist I visually inspects manufactured units for defects, and packs and labels product according to customer's specifications while ensuring compliance with work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Visually inspects sheets for defects and notifies appropriate individuals immediately if any are found.
- Follow required procedures to ensure customer orders are done correctly.
- Verify work instructions.
- Confirms packaging materials and signs off on documentation.
- Applies label to bag/box.
- Maintains the overall cleanliness of the workstation area.
- Maintains good attendance in accordance with company guidelines.
- Adheres to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience: Entry Level
Other skills and abilities required include:
- Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common diagram form.
- Basic understanding of Quality methods, gauges, and procedures.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Physical Demands: Medium Work - Lifting of 50 pounds maximum.
