Compensation: $24 – $30/hr base, with the opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and layout drawings.

· Uphold quality, safety, and efficiency on all stair projects.

  • Perform welding primarily using FCAW/Flux Core.

  • Skill to execute welds in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) with shop welds most performed in flat position.

· Train and supervise stair fabrication team members.

  • Use measuring tools, squares, and levels to assure accuracy of fit-up.

  • Perform welds to AWS standards for quality and compliance.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).

  • AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification (or ability to certify).

  • Minimum 3 years of fabrication experience with steel stairs.

  • Proficiency with stringers, steel pan stairs, grating, and ornamental stair projects.

  • Strong welding background (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW).

  • Leadership ability and a commitment to mentoring others.

  • Proficient in blueprint reading, layout, and measuring.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a positive driving record.

  • Ability to meet minimum credit rating standards.

  • Pre-employment and ongoing drug screening required; TATE FAB is a drug-free workplace.

  • OSHA-10 Construction Safety Certification, or willingness to complete prior to hire.

  • Strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

  • Vacation: 1 week of paid vacation after your first year, with up to 3 weeks available with seniority.
