Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial strategy for Corning’s Critical Materials program, defined as materials economically and strategically important for industries vital to modern economies but also at risk of supply disruption, including Germanium, Gallium, and Rare Earth Elements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize high-value market opportunities with measurable objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Build and expand a high-value commercial relationship network – deepening partnerships with existing customers and government stakeholders while cultivating new market access with prospective customers and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, customers, and required external partners to design and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Translate complex customer and government requirements into actionable commercial strategies and Corning capability-aligned solutions.
  • Lead the development of business cases for investment in new commercial opportunities, including pricing and value creation, cost modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Engage with US Government agencies, identifying funded program opportunities, building agency relationships, and aligning Corning’s critical materials capabilities to national security and economic growth priorities.
  • Analyze and monitor competitive trends and market dynamics.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • 5+ years of experience in technical industry in customer-facing roles such as sales, business development, product line management, or sales engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (STEM).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • US citizenship required.

 

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Previous experience in product line management or innovation.

The range for this position is $126,366.00 - $173,753.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
