Project Coordinator-Innovation
Huntsman is seeking a Project Coordinator -Innovation supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Lead Project Manager.
Job Scope
The Project Coordinator-Innovation supports the Project Management Team in the execution of innovation projects aligned with the Advanced Materials strategy. This role provides coordination and administrative support by maintaining project data, managing documentation, preparing reports and presentations, and ensuring consistent project tracking and reporting across the portfolio.
In summary, as the Project Coordinator-Innovation, you will:
  • Support Project Managers in coordinating and executing innovation projects within the Stage Gate process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in dashboards, trackers, and internal systems.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, including timelines, action logs, meeting notes, and project updates.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, templates, and other materials for leadership reviews and portfolio discussions.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda support, follow-up tracking, and distribution of materials.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and action items to support timely project execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly project status reports and portfolio reporting packages.
  • Identify data inconsistencies and escalate issues to the appropriate Project Manager.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in United States.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or project management.
  • Background in marketing, sales, manufacturing, or technical support.

Skills and knowledge
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, adaptability, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to analyze issues from multiple perspectives while maintaining focus on overall objectives.
  • Strong collaboration skills to support cross-regional teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize competing deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting innovation programs or Stage Gate project management processes.

Working Environment
  • Collaborative office environment supporting regional innovation projects.
  • Frequent interaction with Commercial, Technical, Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, and Product Portfolio teams.
  • Occasional domestic travel up to 10%.
