Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing new projects and working with customer and internal team to review product design, production feasibility, mold design feasibility and to establish inspection requirements for all parts.
  • Works to properly document and maintain Master Control Plans (MCP) and is responsible for Program Review Meetings and successful launch from sales order through design through tooling design and build and into production.
  • Responsible for all company product design reviews and outsourced prototyping
  • Responsible for managing mold design and building of all new tooling, molds including repairs and ecn's.
  • Responsible for making sure new projects costs are in line with quotes and meet minimum margin levels.
  • Responsible for Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process and insuring we have the latest revision documents during the preproduction phase prior to turning over to Quality.
  • Responsible for complete and accurate BOM for all parts utilizing company ERP system
  • Responsible to insure all programs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for ensuring that First Article Reports, Customer Approval Forms, customer samples, PPAP are done professionally and meet criteria as set by TX-IM and our customers.
  • Responsible for providing technical support to Quality for NCR and CR actions including help driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal quality problems or customer complaints.
  • Establishes, implements and audits company injection mold preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain engineering area, safety and 5S housekeeping.


Requirements:

Education:

  • 4 year college degree or related work experience


Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and Understanding of Injection Molding preferred
  • Understanding of plastic design standards, preferred
  • Basic skills in CAD design software, preferably Solidworks, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding and ability to become proficient utilizing ERP software
  • Good interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient in the ability to read and interpret part drawings, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and handle projects to completion
  • Ability to oversee and drive projects to profitable completion into production
  • Must be neat, organized and able to meet commitments
