The Role
Instructs and certifies incumbent employees on "upgrade" welding certs. Instruct some training in classroom environment. Instructs registered apprentices in associated academic classes
Must Have
Bachelors Degree/Ingalls Apprentice Grad with 3 years Pipe Welding Journeyman Experience
Masters Degree with 1 year Pipe Welding Journeyman Experience
A combination of completed education and experience may be used in lieu of degree.
Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned.
Nice to Have
Ability to train incumbent welders to obtain welding certificatons within established timelines. Familiar with work policies and procedures for purposes of maintaining compliance requirements. Ability to work under limited supervision, with little/no instructions needed on routine work. Previous experience as a craft technical facilitator, instructor, or OJT/OJM role. Familiar with company reporting systems (i.e. timekeeping, command media, Outlook, etc). Ability to weld multiple processes.
