Job description

We are currently hiring experienced ASME Code Welders with a strong background in pipe and vessel welding within a fabrication shop environment. This role involves welding, fitting, and fabricating complex components while maintaining strict compliance with ASME standards and procedures.

ASME Code Welder Responsibilities:

  • Weld and fabricate complex components, pressure vessels, and structural assemblies in accordance with ASME code requirements
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
  • Perform SMAW welding on carbon steel and GTAW/TIG welding on stainless steel materials
  • Follow ASME Section VIII and Section IX welding procedures and specifications
  • Ensure weld quality, accuracy, and adherence to established welding standards
  • Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Complete inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets company and industry standards

ASME Code Welder Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass:
  • 6G SMAW test on 2 1/2" Carbon Steel / .276" Wall
  • 6G GTAW test on 2" Stainless Steel / .218" Wall
  • Experience with sanitary stainless welding is highly preferred
  • 35 years of verifiable welding experience required
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Reliable transportation to and from the facility
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
