Classified Infrastructure Systems Engineer

The Classified Infrastructure Systems Engineer will provide on-site support to manage the Enabled Intelligence systems including desktops, physical servers, Kubernetes environments, and cloud-based platforms on both the unclassified and classified networks. This role includes close coordination with external Managed Service Providers, and requires deep knowledge and adherence to IT security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure network security and data protection
  • Ensure compliance with industry/client regulations and standards
  • Complete recurring compliance activities required to maintain accreditation of classified networks
  • Manage Windows and Linux physical and virtual servers
  • Provision user accounts in accordance with security procedures
  • Maintain existing Kubernetes environments and ensure health of deployed applications
  • Provision and configure user workstations in support of onboarding new employees
  • Provide onsite deskside support for user issues
  • Develop and maintain baseline configurations for classified and unclassified desktops
  • Ensure desktop and server compliance with patch management policies
  • Coordinate with Managed Service Providers for system implementation of managed network components
  • Develop scripts and automations to minimize manual input of common tasks
  • Troubleshoot networking connectivity issues on all corporate networks
  • Support quarterly asset audits

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Significant experience managing IT systems in SIPR, JWICS, and NIPR environments
  • Experience in managing compliance for connected classified networks
  • Ability to maintain on-prem CWAN, SCWAN, and stand-alone networks.
  • Experience in managing classified IT resources and networks supporting multiple DoD and IC client programs simultaneously
  • Ability to manage software ATO/SWaP submissions and processes
  • At least 3 years of experience managing Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
  • At least 3 years of experience managing Linux-based operating systems
  • Hands-on experience managing resources in Microsoft 365 environment
  • Experience deploying Kubernetes-based applications into Production
  • Active Top Secret Clearance (with eligibility to garner TS-SCI)
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership and problem solve in a dynamic environment
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Rocky Linux
  • Technical proficiency with managed Windows desktops
  • Hands-on experience provisioning and managing workstations with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
  • Hands-on experience managing firewall, switch, and router network devices
  • Hands-on experience supporting AWS environment
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift 25lbs and set up workstations including monitors, desktop computers and hardware

Clearance

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a standard background check and are required to hold an active TS clearance, with eligibility to obtain at TS-SCI.

Work Location

  • Enabled Intelligence office in Falls Church, VA with some travel to client offices in National Capital Region and St. Louis, MO.
