Job description

Location: New York, NY preferred; Miami, FL also considered
Work Model: Onsite / location-based, with flexibility depending on the candidate
Industry: Fintech / Crypto / Consumer Financial Infrastructure
Compensation: $100,000-$170,000 base salary plus equity; final package will depend on experience and cash/equity preference.

About the Company

Our partner is a high-growth, venture-backed fintech company building more transparent access to major financial markets for users around the world. Their platform sits at the intersection of consumer product, finance, and blockchain-based infrastructure, with a mission centered on making market access more open, trustworthy, and accessible. The team is scaling quickly and investing in the people and systems needed to support the next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

Our partner is hiring a Talent Associate / Recruiter to help build the internal recruiting function at a pivotal stage of company growth. This is a high-priority hire designed to improve coordination across multiple open searches, increase responsiveness with external recruiting partners, and create more leverage for leadership as hiring volume grows.

This role is ideal for someone early in their recruiting career who wants more than a traditional recruiting seat. The right person will be excited to specialize in talent, build real ownership over the function, and grow into a broader talent leadership path over time. There is meaningful upside here for someone who wants to develop into a Head of Talent role over the next 1-2 years.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruiting processes across multiple open roles and external search partners
  • Improve recruiting response times, process quality, and overall execution
  • Identify strong candidate profiles and relevant talent pools for priority searches
  • Prepare candidate calibration materials, including example profiles and rationale
  • Partner closely with leadership to refine hiring criteria and search strategy
  • Help the team move from intuition-based recruiting toward a more systematic approach
  • Support recruiting operations that unblock other key hires across the business
Requirements
  • 1-4 years of experience in recruiting, talent, search, or a closely related field; exceptional early-career candidates with highly relevant internships may also be considered
  • Some exposure to recruiting and familiarity with startup environments
  • Prior experience with venture-backed companies, VC environments, recruiting firms, recruiting startups, or similar talent ecosystems is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Good judgment on candidate quality, profile calibration, and talent pool mapping
  • Interest in building a long-term career in talent rather than treating recruiting as a short-term stepping stone
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
