What We Are Looking For:
The Product Manager for Numbers and Inbound products in the CLEC product Team will focus on the customer, operational and financial product goals and forecasts. You will work directly with carriers, vendors, sales and customers. As a Product Manager at Bandwidth, your primary responsibility is to manage the existing products and the ideation, development, and launch of new products and features. To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in product management and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. You will have the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, engineering, and UX design to achieve product goals.
What You'll Do:
  • Actively Manage Numbers and Inbound products for cost management and operational optimization.
  • Negotiate with and manage carrier agreements.
  • Partner with Sales to proactively support gathering of customer data.
  • Where process improvements require development, draft requirements and champion those requirements in our internal development prioritization process. Serve as SME for enhancements accepted for development.
  • Develop deep relationships with key customers.
  • Lead market validation and customer discovery efforts for incubated initiatives. Target markets may include specific industry verticals, wholesale telecom services, consumer communications services
  • Make informed decisions on product evolution based on metrics collected with each customer interaction
  • Work with senior leadership to establish a steady flow of new technology and service opportunities through external awareness events.
  • Develop and implement go to market strategy, ensuring an understanding of the product positioning, key benefits and target customers, working closely with marketing and sales.
  • Up to 25% travel may be involved
  • As time is available between customers, the Onboarding Manager will support the Infrastructure product management team's ongoing efforts to optimize Bandwidth's voice coverage and capacity, and improve internal processes.

What You Need:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in field or 10+ years of experience
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years product management experience
    • History with US CLEC and SIP based telecom networks; international a plus.
    • Must work well in early-stage startup environments, where direction may pivot multiple times in a month based on market feedback
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of telecom services and associated protocols (SIP, RTP, G.7xx, SMPP, WebRTC) helpful for success in this role.
    • Able to work in an agile development organization.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communications.
    • Experience with Monday or similar project management software very helpful
    • Prior experience with Agile development workflow a plus.
    • Strong initiative and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of an organization.
