Protiviti is looking for a Technology Consulting Associate Director to join our growing Infrastructure, Cloud, & Security Engineering team.
What You Can Expect
As an Associate Director, you'll take a lead role in strengthening our relationships with clients and providing seamless guidance in the completion of engagements. You'll partner with our strategic clients to advise on and implement technical solutions to their most pressing challenges.
Additionally, you'll help identify new businesses and build lasting relationships with clients and within the community as you serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also be a mentor and provide growth and development to teams as you oversee the successful completion of project work plans.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?
  • Recent hands-on design, deployment, and/or administration experience in Windows Server and Linux systems administration
  • Working familiarity with Unix variants and Mac OS; prior administration experience a plus
  • Working familiarity with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and other IaaS providers preferred
  • Strong enterprise networking design, deployment, and/or administration experience
  • Working familiarity with enterprise-class vendors and product lines strongly preferred (e.g. Cisco, Cisco Meraki, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Extreme, Brocade)
  • Working familiarity with enterprise-class network security appliance vendors and product lines strongly preferred (e.g. Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
  • Working familiarity with SMB/"prosumer" vendors and product lines a plus (e.g. Ubiquiti/UBNT, SonicWall, Mikrotik) a plus
  • Working familiarity with load balancers, VPN appliances/concentrators a plus
  • In depth understanding of current enterprise design patterns and norms for basic networking capabilities/concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN segmentation, routing and switching, wireless)
  • Strong familiarity with SMB and entry-level on premises computing infrastructure technologies
  • Working familiarity with multiple server hardware vendors and associated management tools/platforms (e.g. Dell, HPE, Cisco, SuperMicro) strongly preferred
  • Working familiarity with hypervisor platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, or others) strongly preferred
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise storage
  • Working familiarity with DAS, SAN, and NAS/filer solutions
  • Working understanding of contemporary network storage protocols and interconnect methods (e.g. iSCSI, CIFS, FibreChannel, NFS)

  • Prior experience dealing with third party hardware/software/service vendors preferred
  • Prior experience translating business continuity / disaster recovery requirements into technical solution designs preferred
  • Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.
  • Successfully pursuing business development opportunities and identifying and implementing strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
  • Ability to translate and communicate issues, risks or challenges to client personnel, including executives
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in (Comp Sci, Comp Eng, Networking) or relevant field, or equivalent experience delivering technology or consulting solutions
  • 9+ years working in professional services or related fields such as managed services or in a "hands-on" pre-sales role
  • Professional Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert or similar strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Comfortable collaborating with key business executives, system/application owners or stakeholders in group conversation or direct interview contexts
  • Ability to rapidly shift between planning / design work and practical execution ("hands on keyboard" tasks for discovery or implementation) is an absolute necessity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Personal projects / demonstrated extracurricular interest in technology a plus

Our Hybrid Workplace
Protiviti practices a hybrid model, which is a combination of working in person with a purpose and working remotely. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements vary by client, project, team, and other business factors. Our people work both in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local or out-of-state travel based on our projects and client requests and commitments.
Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$153,000.00 - $260,000.00
Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

$177,480.00 - $301,600.00
Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
