Summary:

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the planning, management, execution, and delivery of IT projects supporting organizational and mission objectives. This role leads project teams, manages resources, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications, while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute small to large-scale IT projects.ย 
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts including project charters, schedules, plans, dashboards, and requirements documentation.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, issues, budgets, and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate activities among technical teams, business stakeholders, and project resources.
  • Brief senior leadership on project status, risks, milestones, and key decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Recommend IT strategies, policies, and process improvements based on organizational needs and emerging trends.
  • Lead project meetings, facilitate communication, and drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).ย 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of IT project management experience leading both complex and small IT projects.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, quality management, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadership.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity requirements and their impact on project delivery.
Preferred Skills:
  • Technical management and IT systems understanding.
  • Strategic planning and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to analyze organizational needs and translate them into actionable project plans.

Salary Disclosure:ย 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
