We are looking for an IT Senior System Analyst to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana!
The IT Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing in-depth SAP and process knowledge within specific business areas. This is a role that works with business teams to understand current business processes and identify opportunities for improvements that enable added business value in a cost-effective manner.
The IT Senior Systems Analyst will work directly with manufacturing team members to understand business processes and implement strategic IT solutions that add business value / solve issues for the Warrick plant. The IT Senior Systems Analyst will be involved in various areas, supporting the evolving needs of the site. The successful candidate will have the unique ability to understand business needs, identify effective IT solutions, then implement those solutions within the Kaiser Aluminum Warrick IT environment.

What you will work on:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the business overall
  • Analyze, enhance, and support business processes, identifying opportunities to use technology to enable and secure process improvements to support business objectives
  • Deliver creative solutions that meet business needs leveraging the SAP environment as appropriate
  • Interacts with members of the Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Team across all levels in the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology that aligns with business strategy and performance, adapting to changing business needs to continuously create innovative and high-value solutions.
  • Operates within and influences IT standards and conventions and promotes adherence within the IT organization
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support for SAP and related applications
  • Develop screens, reports, interfaces, and other tools using various manufacturing data sources

About you:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or four-year degree with significant IT programming experience
  • 5+ years of technical IT experience
  • Clear ability to understand business opportunities and leverage technology to meet those needs
  • Strong and creative analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in a large-scale production environment
  • Strong communication abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, proactive, with high attention to detail and accuracy in a large-scale production environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, with a proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of systems analysis and design

Preferred Qualification:
  • Technical proficiency in any of the following areas is desired: ABAP, SAP Applications, and SQL
  • 10+ years of technical IT experience
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Power BI, etc.
  • Data Warehouse experience
  • Experience in establishing relationships with both internal and external customers in a wide variety of roles and responsibilities
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals industry
