The work
The Data Governance Manger supports enterprise data initiatives by defining and implementing data governance frameworks, documenting data requirements, and improving data quality across SAP and non-SAP environments. This role collaborates with business and technical stakeholders to establish data standards, develop policies, and configure metadata and business glossary terms. The specialist also supports business intelligence needs by gathering reporting requirements and translating them into actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions. This position plays a critical role in improving data visibility, compliance, and decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
  • Define and implement data governance frameworks, standards, and policies across SAP analytics platforms
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules, lineage, metadata standards, and data ownership models
  • Configure and manage business glossary terms, data policies, and governance workflows
  • Plan, manage, and execute data governance initiatives, ensuring adherence across business and functional areas
  • Monitor compliance with internal and external data regulations and governance standards
  • Lead workshops with business and IT stakeholders to gather and document data requirements
  • Assist in the design and refinement of data models to support enterprise reporting needs
  • Resolve data-related issues, risks, and quality concerns
  • Create Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and KPIs aligned to governance and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with data stewards, architects, IT teams, and business units to implement data strategies
  • Develop governance performance reports and metrics
  • Support Master Data Management (MDM) and compliance initiatives

Here's what you need:
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or MDM, preferably within SAP environments
  • Knowledge of SAP Information Steward, SAP MDG, or equivalent data governance tools
  • Experience building data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and data quality scorecards
  • Strong facilitation skills to work with data stewards, business process owners, and IT architects
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to enterprise data
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams

Nice to have:
  • Experience with Power BI, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BTP, or other BI/analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with metadata management practices and data cataloging tools
  • Experience with report optimization and BI data validation
  • Background supporting large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
