An information analyst oversees data sources for a company and creates ways to help employees access the data easier and secure the information from being misused. As an information analyst, you may work within one department or advise all departments of a company. You install and configure programs to meet the company’s needs, and you manage how the data is used to find more efficient ways of storing the information. Qualifications for this job include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field and experience with network security systems.
