Job Summary:
EDC Consulting LLC is seeking candidates for a full-time Virtualization Administrator in Radford, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, deployment, troubleshooting, and support of physical and virtual servers within a diverse and expanding virtualization environment.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Senior VMWare Administrator.
• Manage and support various vSphere components, including vCenter, ESXi, VUM, and VUMDS, while demonstrating proficiency in networking concepts such as VLANs and routing.
• Exhibit familiarity with server virtualization technologies and SAN/storage concepts, including LUNs, HBAs, logical volumes, NFS, and iSCSI.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of server chassis technologies, such as Client c7000 and Cisco UCS.
• Apply security hardening techniques to maintain a secure virtualization environment.
• Implement OS security best practices and configure/manage/update large groups of servers.
• Desired skills include scripting (e.g., PowerShell, BASH, Python, Ansible), understanding of clustering concepts (e.g., WFC, Oracle RAC), creating and maintaining documentation, and providing training to junior team members.
• Create and maintain documentation to ensure efficient system management and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of experience or Associates with 7+ years of experience
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH, Python, Ansible, etc.
• Familiarity with clustering concepts, including WFC and Oracle RAC
• Experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines
• In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows X, Windows Server 20XX, RHEL/OEL X
• CompTIA Security + Certification
• Active Security Clearance
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Senior VMWare Administrator
