Department: NICU Neonatal Care

Work Schedule: Full Time, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  

Shift: Days 

Pay: 20.87 - 27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

  • Prepares expressed human milk and formulas. Ensures safe operation of equipment needed to prepare expressed human milk and formula and maintains sanitation in the preparation room.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Receives, properly stores and manages inventory of expressed human milk and infant formulas.
  • Reviews feeding orders in medical record per physician or registered dietitian. Calculates measurements of additives to be combined with volume of human milk/formula to the correct caloric and nutrient density.
  • Prepares expressed human milk and formula using aseptic technique to provide individualized infant nutrition based on orders.
  • Distributes prepared milk feedings to the bedside at appropriate intervals.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
