Strong teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication skills help interns integrate into fast-paced environments and collaborate with professionals. What is an IndyCar internship?

An IndyCar internship is a temporary position, typically for students or recent graduates, that provides hands-on experience within the IndyCar racing industry. Interns may work in various departments, such as engineering, marketing, operations, or communications, and assist with tasks related to race events, team logistics, or technical development. These internships are designed to help individuals gain valuable industry knowledge, build professional networks, and develop skills relevant to motorsports careers. Opportunities may be available with IndyCar teams, the IndyCar Series organization, or related partners. Most positions are highly competitive and may require travel to race events.

What kind of hands-on experience can I expect during an Indycar Internship, and how does it contribute to my career development?

During an Indycar Internship, you can expect to gain hands-on experience working directly with race engineers, mechanics, and team managers on tasks such as data analysis, vehicle setup, and event logistics. Interns are often involved in supporting race-day operations and may have opportunities to assist with technical projects or sponsor activations. This exposure provides valuable insights into the fast-paced motorsports environment and helps build practical skills that are highly regarded in the racing industry. Such experience can significantly boost your resume and open doors to entry-level roles within racing teams or related motorsport organizations.
