The Director of PLM & Industrial Technology will own the enterprise-wide vision, strategy, and execution of PLM, CAD, and industrial technology systems across Brunswick's engineering and manufacturing divisions. Serving as the strategic bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and IT, this leader will govern systems architecture evolution, drive cross-functional collaboration, and translate emerging PLM, AI, and Industry 4.0 technologies into actionable roadmaps that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and own the enterprise PLM, ALM, and industrial technology strategy, establishing a multi-year roadmap that drives innovation, scalability, and measurable business value across Brunswick divisions

  • Develop compelling business cases and investment proposals to secure executive sponsorship, while leading platform evolution including adoption of emerging technologies and retirement of legacy systems

Systems Architecture & Digital Thread

  • Govern the end-to-end engineering and manufacturing systems architecture, ensuring PLM, ALM, and industrial platforms are integrated, secure, and future-ready

  • Champion a unified digital thread connecting PLM (Siemens Teamcenter), ALM (Polarion), MES, ERP, CAD, and Azure IIoT platforms to enable seamless data flow across the full product and systems engineering lifecycle

PLM & ALM Platform Ownership

  • Oversee enterprise deployment and governance of PLM platforms (Teamcenter) and ALM platforms (Polarion, Titan, Test Rail, Jira), driving closed-loop requirements-to-manufacturing traceability across divisions

  • Lead MBSE initiatives and ALM configurations spanning requirements management, change control, test management, and functional safety compliance for software-intensive and embedded product development

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the strategic liaison between systems engineering, Product development engineering, manufacturing, IT, and business leadership to align PLM,ALM,MES & IIOT platforms with operational priorities

  • Assess and reimagine engineering and manufacturing processes, redefining standards to improve efficiency, data utilization, and cycle time reduction across product development workflows

AI, Data & Analytics

  • Develop and implement metrics, dashboards, and advanced analytics to deliver real-time insights into engineering and manufacturing performance across Brunswick divisions

  • Drive adoption of AI and machine learning tools to enhance requirements intelligence, design optimization, and predictive manufacturing capabilities while embedding data-driven decision-making into PLM, ALM & MES workflows

Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0

  • Lead Brunswick's industrial technology transformation leveraging PLM, ALM, smart manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 principles including digital twins, digital threads and Model bases system engineering concepts.

  • Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, translating trends into actionable strategies that deliver competitive advantage across Brunswick's diverse product portfolio

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of PLM, ALM, and industrial technology subject matter experts, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering-intensive industry, with deep hands-on expertise in enterprise PLM, CAD, and manufacturing systems implementation and leadership

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale PLM and industrial technology programs across complex, multi-division or global manufacturing organizations

  • Deep expertise with Siemens Teamcenter PLM including Item & BOM Management, Document Management, Change Management, Active Workspace, and CAD integrations (NX, SolidWorks, Creo)

  • Experience with ALM platforms such as Polarion with working knowledge of requirements management, test management, and systems engineering workflows

  • Hands-on experience implementing manufacturing solutions using platforms such as Ignition, Tulip, or comparable MES and shopfloor connectivity software

  • Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, PLM-ERP integration best practices, and end-to-end manufacturing data flows from design through production

  • Deep understanding of systems architecture, database management, and integration frameworks connecting PLM, MES, ERP, and CAD ecosystems

  • Expertise in data governance, data architecture, and business intelligence tools, with the ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade technology landscapes

  • Experience leveraging AI, advanced analytics, and digital twin technologies to drive engineering and manufacturing performance improvements

  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 principles, digital manufacturing, model-based engineering (MBE), and smart factory enablement strategies

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and build compelling business cases for technology investments

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with proven ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.

The hiring range for this position is $132,500 - $196,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program and an award target as part of Brunswick's long-term incentive program.
