Insight Global is looking for an Automation Materials Industrial Engineer. This highly skilled Industrial Engineer should have expertise in Material Simulation. This role will play a critical part in advancing manufacturing efficiency, validating material flow strategies, and developing best practices to be scaled across the enterprise. This candidate will bring a strong background in simulation tools, data analysis, and industrial engineering principles to support innovation and operational excellence.

  • Lead material flow simulations to evaluate line-side delivery, warehouse logistics, and automated material handling solutions.
  • Develop and validate discrete-event simulation models to optimize labor, equipment, and space utilization.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to ensure scalability and sustainability of material flow strategies.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and ergonomic assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain standard processes, metrics, and best practices for deployment across multiple facilities.
  • Provide technical guidance on the integration of automation (AGVs/AMRs, conveyors, robotics) into plant operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0 practices.
