Job description

As an Indirect Parts Planning Operations Coordinator, you'll help ensure the right parts and supplies are available when and where they're needed. You'll manage purchase orders, track supplier performance, and maintain accurate procurement data that supports business operations. In this role you'll problem solve, work with data, and collaborate across cross functional teams. You'll play an important role in keeping supply chain processes running efficiently.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders (POs) aligned with requisitions, contracts, and sourcing strategies, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, delivery dates, GL coding, and descriptions.
  • Monitor open POs, resolve discrepancies, process changes, cancellations, and expedites, and manage returns, credits, and supplier non-conformances.
  • Track supplier commitments, communicate packaging, labeling, and shipment requirements, and escalate delivery delays as needed.
  • Support supplier performance management by collecting and reporting on on-time delivery, fill rate, quality, and other supplier scorecard metrics.
  • Maintain procurement trackers, dashboards, and recurring reports while ensuring data integrity across item master records, supplier information, and pricing tables.
  • Identify process gaps, support SOP documentation and continuous improvement initiatives, and partner with project teams and suppliers to align sourcing timelines with operational milestones.
Basic qualifications
  • +1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory coordination, supply chain support, or a related field
  • +1 year of experience using purchasing systems or reporting tools
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including filtering, formulas, or pivot tables
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • +3 years of Experience working with SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or similar systems
  • +3 years of Experience managing supplier or vendor relationships
  • +3 Years of Experience supporting inventory, planning, or purchasing operations
  • +3 Years of Experience analyzing data and identifying process improvements
