Salesforce Developer w/ Active Top Secret or DHS Clearance

Location: Springfield, VA (Hybrid – Up to 1 day per week on-site)

Clearance: U.S. Citizen; Must have an active Top-Secret Clearance or DHS Public Trust Clearance.


InDev is seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, build, and enhance Salesforce applications and integrations that support Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission outcomes. You’ll work hands-on refactoring applications to better utilize out of the box functionality, refactoring the data model to use out of the box objects, modernizing applications to leverage new features (e.g. Agentforce), implementing code based on the user interface and/or user design specifications, and ensuring industry best practices are followed during the development process. While technical skills are essential, a successful candidate will also bring innovative ideas and a sense of ownership to the work they take on.


YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing, developing, configuring, and deploying Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Manage Salesforce security and access controls including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, public groups, and record-level security.
  • Monitor Salesforce seasonal releases, evaluate new platform capabilities, assess impacts on existing solutions, and recommend enhancements and adoption strategies.
  • Implement innovative enterprise applications on the Salesforce platform that meets business objectives, solves complex problems, and delivers high value to the client.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions.
  • Work in a scrum team using the agile method.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related discipline.
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, object model, relationships, and data management strategies.
  • Experience with Lightning Web Security (LWS), Apex, Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs, and platform integrations.
  • Proficiency with Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience designing solutions using Agentforce, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning App Builder, Flow Builder, and custom Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience delivering Salesforce solutions using Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices, including source-driven development, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical teams and government stakeholders.


NICE TO HAVES

  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II, and/or Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist.
  • Experience supporting federal enterprise programs, with emphasis on governance and compliance.
  • Understanding of federal governance, accessibility, and cybersecurity frameworks, including Section 508, FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 controls.
