Reports to: Dean, College of Arts and Humanities
Job status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
Houston Christian University seeks Staff Pianist to join the Department of Music with expertise in teaching applied piano lessons.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Accompany applied music major and minors, both vocal and instrumental
  • Accompany for choral ensembles; lead choral sectionals
  • Perform one on one music coaching sessions, and play for student recitals and masterclasses
  • Teach applied piano lessons to both music majors and minors

Qualifications:
  • MM in collaborative piano, will consider MM or DMA in piano performance. proficiency in European language diction
  • Ability to coach both singers and instrumentalists.
