Job description

With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England, is seeking to fill the Event Coordinator position.
Under the general direction of the Event Manager, we are seeking an Event Coordinator to support the Event Manager in coordinating, organizing, and executing company and outreach initiatives. This position is on-site within our Development Office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
  • Support the full lifecycle of organizational events, from initial concept and timeline development to on-site execution and post-event reporting.
  • Assists with coordinating venue setup, catering, transportation, and equipment needs with vendors to ensure seamless day-of operations.
  • Partner with the Communications and Marketing teams to execute digital promotions, social media campaigns, and staff/volunteer outreach.
  • Assist with maintaining detailed task trackers, run-of-show documents, registration lists, and supply inventories.
  • Provide hands-on event support with guest check-in, vendor oversight, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure events align with agency goals, specifically focusing on community engagement for veterans and their families.
  • Provide support to the Development team and perform other duties as assigned to support organizational growth.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful event experience. 4 years preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and discretion in line with organizational values.
  • Advance communication skills, including report preparation and customer service etiquette.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and complete projects by established deadlines.
  • This position requires some travel, so reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
