Job description

About ZYLO
ZYLO Medical Transport is a family-owned transportation company based in Bethlehem, PA, serving the Greater Lehigh Valley and Western NJ. We provide safe, reliable, GPS-tracked transportation — and we're expanding into student transportation routes across the region.

The Role
We're looking for dependable independent contractor drivers to run consistent student transportation routes in Allentown, Reading, and Boyertown for the 2026–27 school year starting in late August. You'll use your own vehicle, follow a fixed AM/PM school-day schedule, and get paid per trip plus IRS mileage reimbursement.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position — not an employee role.

What You'll Do
Run a morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off route, 5 days a week following the school calendar. Communicate professionally with families and school staff. Maintain your vehicle and required clearances in good standing.

What We Offer

  • $50 per trip — includes morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off
  • Mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate
  • Steady work that follows the school calendar
  • Background check & clearance fees reimbursed after your first 20 completed trips

What You'll Need

  • Clean driving record (MVR required)
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Clean car, SUV, van or wheelchair accessible vehicle in good working order
  • Ability to pass school-level background clearances and a drug screening
  • Comfortable using a smartphone app
  • Ability to commit to 2 runs a day — morning and afternoon — for the full school year
  • Dependability — this is a consistent route commitment, not occasional gig work
  • Patience — you'll be working with school-age children

About the Background Check
Because you'll be transporting students, this is more than a basic background check. Pennsylvania requires school-level clearances including a PA State Police criminal record check, an FBI fingerprint check, a child abuse clearance, and mandated reporter training. We walk you through every step and tell you exactly what's needed. Fees are reimbursed after your first 20 completed trips.

Routes Starting: Late August 2026
Locations: Allentown PA · Reading PA · Boyertown PA
