Description
The City of Blue Ash Recreation Department is seeking Group Fitness Instructors who can teach multiple group fitness classes ranging in variety and level. The instructor must be high energy, motivating, and a relationship builder who will help others achieve their goals through exercise while having fun.
This is an independent contractor position and will remain open until filled.
Group Fitness Instructors will enjoy a free individual membership to the Blue Ash Recreation Center with eligibility and discount for family members.
Salary: $20-$40 per group fitness class. Rate is based on length of class and type of class.
Examples of Duties
  • Design and lead engaging group fitness classes, incorporating a variety of exercises and appropriate modifications.
  • Ensure safe and inclusive environments for all fitness levels.
  • Provide personalized attention, motivation, and feedback to class participants.
  • Collaborate with the fitness team to maintain innovative and high-quality group fitness classes.

Typical Qualifications
  • Must possess current CPR/AED certification.
  • Must possess current group fitness instructor certification or equivalent.
  • Must possess current liability insurance
  • Prior experience with Group Fitness Instruction preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt workouts to accommodate diverse participant needs.
  • Flexible schedule desired, as class times vary and may include weekends.
