ABOUT US: 
AK AIRE LLC Home Service (AKAHS) is located In Middlesex County as is a New Jersey based residential contractor specializing in service, installations, and maintenance in the trades of Plumbing, Heating, Air conditioning, Electrical and Generator systems.  AKAHS, has been providing New Jersey Homeowners quality services since 2007, we have been in business for 19 years with 85% repeat business.  We are growing our Generator Division to have an immediate opening for service technicians. We are looking for highly motivated and hardworking individuals to join the company. 
Our Service Areas include, but not limited to, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, and Ocean County.   We focus on the residential marketplace with light commercial.  
 Become part of a team dedicated to safe, quality work. 
Job Responsibilities : 
  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting for customer’s Home Standby Generator, including Brands, Generac, Kholer, Briggs and Straton, etc. 
  • Ability to deal effectively with customer service and technical problems by using experience and personal influence to provide resolution with supporting documentation and explanations  of service performed or parts used. 
  • Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers
  • Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs or our customers
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools and safety equipment in the vehicle.  Document all installed equipment upon arrival; make, model, serial number , type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as needed.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtained any replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations. 
  • Complete and submit work orders
  • Other duties and responsibilities as they are assigned 
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 2-5 year experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse generator issues
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done correctly the first time.
  • Strong organization skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task & Prioritize. 
  • Establish & maintain good working relationship with coworker and management. 
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
