Generator Sales Rep• Job Title: In-Home Sales Representative
• Sales Coverage area: Philadelphia Area (Delco, Montco, Bucks, Chester, Berks) and Southern NJ.
Position Summary:As an In-Home Sales Representative, you will meet with pre-qualified homeowners to consult on their backup power needs. You will present customized solutions, explain product benefits, and close deals during the in-home consultation. You must have a hunter mentality, be self-motivated, and excel in relationship-building and objection handling. THIS IS a 90% COMMISSION BASED ROLE SO YOU MUST SELL & CLOSE APPOINTMENTS - DO NOT APPLY IF THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU!!
Key Responsibilities:
1. In-Home Sales Appointments (80% of compensation)
  • Conduct in-home consultations, assess customer needs, and recommend the right generator and related solutions.
  • Present proposals clearly, handle objections confidently, and close business at a minimum 30% close rate.
  • Own the full sales conversation from discovery through signed agreement, financing discussion, and next-step commitment.

2. Business Development & Referral Partnerships (15% of compensation)
  • Build and grow referral relationships with big box retailers such as Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's, and Ace.
  • Develop partnerships with home service and contractor channels including HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, renovations, and home builders.
  • Proactively generate new generator leads through outreach, visits, follow-up, and ongoing account relationship management.

3. Administration, Product Mastery & Sales Excellence (5% of compensation)
  • Learn and master all core aspects of generator sales, installation, service, and customer-facing workflows.
  • Develop best-in-class responses to major customer objections, including price, competition, and timing.
  • Maintain strong administrative discipline in follow-up, CRM updates, quote accuracy, and personal sales process improvement to sustain 30%+ close rates.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of in-home or consultative sales experience (home improvement, solar, HVAC, etc) (required)
  • Proven close rate above 20% with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets (required)
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed (required)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the confidence to build rapport quickly and overcome objections.
  • Strong closer who knows how to ask for the sale.
  • Comfort with technical products and the ability to learn specifications and explain benefits.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to customer homes.
  • Comfortable using tablets and CRM systems for quoting and reporting.
  • High energy, goal-oriented, and self-disciplined.
