Job description

Project Title: Contract Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA)
Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Location: Remote, with potential for travel to client sites (as required by project)
Security Clearance: Active Tier 3 Investigation Required
We are seeking to expand our network of highly skilled, independent Certified CMMC Assessors (CCAs) for project-based engagements. As a 1099 contractor, you will be engaged to lead or support CMMC assessments for our clients on an as-needed basis. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced, independent professionals seeking flexible and challenging project work.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
  • Execute assigned assessment tasks in accordance with the project Statement of Work (SOW) and our established CMMC assessment methodology.
  • Perform hands-on assessment activities, including evidence review, interviews, and system configuration analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of the final Assessment Plan and Assessment Report.
  • Provide daily status updates to the engagement lead.
  • Adhere strictly to the Cyber-AB Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Deliver all work products (e.g., completed evidence checklists, interview notes, report contributions) by agreed-upon deadlines.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Active Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) certification from the Cyber-AB is mandatory.
  • Clearance: Verification of an active Tier 3 (or higher) U.S. Government security clearance is required prior to engagement.
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record of successfully conducting multiple NIST SP 800-171 and/or CMMC assessments.
    • Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
