Job description

The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician I to support the service needs of its customers. The Electrician will work at the Dallas InCharge Office, reporting to the Service Manager. Key aspects of the work include running conduit, wiring and installation, diagnosing and repairing trouble with charging infrastructure in addition to handling regularly scheduled maintenance. The role requires significant regional travel with a focus on ensuring a timely and customer-centered turnkey delivery experience. Key objectives include maintaining safety standards and timely completion of high-quality field installation work, and field support. 

What You'll Do

  • Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental electrical concepts, including voltage, current, resistance, power, and basic 120V circuits
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters)
  • Perform ballast and driver replacements, lamp swaps, and other lighting maintenance tasks
  • Conduct hands-on electrical work, including replacing receptacles, switches, and related components
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for 120V circuits to identify and resolve issues
  • Learn electrical fundamentals, including voltage, current, resistance, and power
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters)
  • Wiring & Connections: Running conduit, pulling wire, making terminations 120v
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs
  • Panel Work: Installing breakers, labeling circuits, and understanding load balancing
  • Installation: Mounting fixtures, outlets, switches, and electrical panels
  • Represent the company at client locations with the highest standards of professional conduct

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • 2+ years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings
  • Electrical trainee card
  • OSHA 10 Card required or ability to obtain in 120 days of hire
  • Associate's degree or higher in an applicable technical field is desirable
  • ASE or other applicable certifications are desirable
  • Commercial Driver's license or ability to obtain is highly desirable
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, or equivalent software a plus
  • Ability to Travel 25%
